We are asking you and the community of Kamloops to act now and support our Kamloops businesses. Here are 5 more businesses that have implemented enhanced safety measures for their employees and guests to enjoy their services safely.
Kamloops Wine Trail
Featuring the flavours of the Thompson Valley, the Kamloops Wine Trail showcases three distinct winery experiences. Monte Creek Ranch Winery, Harper’s Trail Winery and Privato Vineyard & Winery are offering a relaxed and intimate space for outdoor wine tastings, outdoor picnics (bring your own supplies), or drive up and take advantage of their curbside pickups. Kamloops wine comes perfectly paired with unique terroir and is best enjoyed amongst chiseled hoodoos and sage scented landscapes. For their full list of protocols, please visit their website.
Bright Eye Brewing
From PPE to employee temperature checks and social distancing protocols, Bright Eye Brewing, Kamloops’ newest craft brewery, has covered all their bases to invite you inside for pints and bites. This small batch brewery has thought of all the flavor profiles craft brew aficionados may be seeking. Their ever-changing tap list features fun brews and prominent flavours – think citrus, coriander, cinnamon, and vanilla. The food options embrace seasonal nuances but expect to indulge in in-house specialities including their fire-grilled pizzas, locally made ramen, and juicy hand-crafted burgers. They are still offering take-out and delivery to enjoy their eats from home.
Chop ‘n Block
Whether you’re looking for smokehouse snacks or value meat packs, Chop ‘n Block provides drool-worthy, local meats. Pick-up favourites like beef jerky, pepperoni, and house-made sausage and bacon. This intimate storefront wants to ensure guests can shop safely. New safety protocols implemented include cashless payment, extended hours, and same day home delivery.
City of Kamloops
Trails
Take in Kamloops’ wide-open spaces on the trails surrounding the city on two feet or by bike. Spread out on over 40km of hiking trails in Kenna Cartwright Nature Park or on top of the silt bluffs in the Valleyview Nature Park. Enjoy the views while mountain biking in the Kamloops Bike Ranch, Canada’s largest municipal bike park.
Tournament Capital Centre/Facilities
The city has begun re-opening their facilities, which includes disc golf courses, tennis courts, playgrounds, and the Tournament Capital Centre. On June 15, the Tournament Capital Centre Fieldhouse will be open 6:30am-6:30pm along with new fitness stations and drop-in basketball.
Ensure you are following physical distancing measures and bring your own reusable water bottle to fill up.
Home Hardware Kamloops
Ethan developed this custom store front hand-washing station so customers can sanitize on arrival and departure.
As we were all doing our part and staying home, @kamloopshomehardware remained open to ensure residents could work on home renos, get emergency supplies to fix an issue, and allow contractors to continue working.
