Press Release | Tourism Kamloops launches Luv’n the Loops 2.0 Digital Passport

For Immediate Release

The Luv’n the Loops Passport allows locals to explore year-round with the chance to win incredible prize packages.

July 9, 2020 – Luv’n the Loops is back for a second year. Launching today, Luv’n the Loops 2.0 has been reimagined in digital form expanding its reach to all Kamloops residents.  With an emphasis on connecting Kamloopsians with local tourism experiences, the digital passport features tourism experiences throughout the city and offers discounts and incentives to participants. The program will run for the coming 12 months, completing June 30th, 2021 and will feature 4 seasonal prize packages and 1 grand prize package.

“We’ve built Luv’n the Loops 2.0 on the success of the 2019 campaign inviting Kamloopsians to explore the city on monthly mystery bus tours,” notes Monica Dickinson Director of Industry Relations & Communications for Tourism Kamloops. “This year it was important to extend the reach of the campaign and inspire our residents to explore, discover and rediscover our city. Our hope is the digital passport will encourage our residents to not only support Kamloops tourism related businesses in a year that has been severely impacted by COVID-19 and its imposed travel restrictions, but to also share their experiences with friends, family and neighbours.”

The digital passport is an innovative partnership with Kamloops This Week Digital and is easy to use.  To participate, visit luvntheloops.com, create an account, visit participating locations, scan the QR code to access the discount or incentive, then receive a digital passport stamp to complete the transaction.  Collect 5 or more stamps to be eligible for seasonally themed prize packages as well as an opportunity to win the grand prize package.

“Our tourism partners have eagerly embraced this campaign and feel it is an engaging opportunity to capture business during what would normally be peak tourism season,” adds Dickinson. “Elevating resident advocacy and ambassadorship has been a priority for Tourism Kamloops. The Luv’n the Loops Digital Passport is a great way to continue to connect Kamloopsians with our tourism experiences in addition to supporting Kamloops businesses.”
